elochai
Hi, I just tried to add some symbols to my project in order to edit just one of them and have the others adapt automatically. So I dragged to instances of the same symbol preset from the assets panel to my artboard (iOS 10 slider). But when I'm resizing one of them, the other stays in the original shape. In the symbol panel, there is just one instance of the used symbol and the synch-button is activated. I know, that the synchronization worked before, so I just screwed up somewhere :( The tutorial video ( ) seems not to be up to date, because I can't even drag symbols to my assets panel. Can anybody help? :)
Staff MEB Posted January 3, 2017 Staff Share Posted January 3, 2017 Hi elochai, You have to scale the contents of the symbol layer, not the symbol layer itself. Sometimes you may want to have symbols with different sizes (for a logo for example) and still be able to synchronise them without affecting their size - in thi cases scaling the symbol layer is the way to go. If you want to affect the size too enlarge the contents of the symbol instead. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
