I'm trying to use the selection brush tool but it doesn't seem to work. With the magnetize button on, It doesn't Snap to the Borders or edges of my work. Please, HELP! Assuming you are using Designer, the Selection brush only works on pixels when in the Pixel persona . Its snapping capabilities are to pixel color boundaries. The magnet button is not part of its operation. The magnet button turns on or off snapping for vector objects in the Draw persona. Maybe take some time, and watch the online videos. I have been doing computer graphics for decades, and while I'm pretty familiar with general operations, every application will have lots of specific ways of doing many things. Do you have Snap to edges checked/ticked in the context toolbar with the Selection Brush Tool active? raymond3221 Posted February 26, 2017 Share Posted February 26, 2017 I have the same problem. There is no bar that shows settings for the mode, add/subtract, snap, and refine tools. If this bar could be shown somehow, this would fix the snapping problem but im not sure if there is a view mode to show that setting. Staff MEB Posted April 5, 2018 Staff Share Posted April 5, 2018 Hi Raimondo, Welcome to Affinity Forums The Selection Brush Tool should snap to the edges if Snap to edges is ticked in the context toolbar. Assuming you have this correctly set can you post a screenshot of the app with the Layers panel visible (and the Selection Brush Tool selected) showing the result you are getting when you try select something in an image?
