Stuart444
Can I post a request for a video tutorial on getting correctly printed colours? My monitor has been calibrated and images displayed on it look exactly they way I want them to be printed. However without correction my prints are usually too dark and sometimes have colour shade errors. I use the same printers all the time but a variety of papers. I'm bodging the faulty ones by adding layers to correct the errors, but I'm sure there must be better ways of doing this. Thanks
Stuart444
On a similar theme, I'm also finding that I'm gaining contract on many of my prints. Going back to darkroom days it's like I've put a hard paper on the easel, and need to select a soft one. Clearly I can adjust the image to be printed to have less contract, but it seems to be odd that the printed output is distinctly different to the screen. Staff Leigh Posted January 25, 2017 Staff Share Posted January 25, 2017 We have a couple of videos on soft proofing but that will only show how the print will look but it doesn't affect the final print. You will need to replicate the options of the soft proof within your printer settings. https://vimeo.com/Affinitybyserif/videos/search:soft/sort:date
