What did I uninstall from the public beta, which had about 1,2 GB what the version 1.5.0.45 (282 MB) doesn't have?

The beta isn´t optimized and carries a whole lotta stuff with it under the hood.

Probably not very relevant but the current Mac retail versions on my system are about 940 MB & 1.02 GB for AD & AP respectively. On Macs, apps are usually "packages," basically folders that look like single items. The largest part of each Affinity package is in the "Frameworks" containers in dynamic libraries (extension .dylib), about 780 MB for each app.

 

I am not sure how the Windows versions are installed but it could be that the equivalent libraries (.dll's?) are stored elsewhere & don't contribute to the size shown for the app itself.

The downloaded installer files are less than 300 MB, but the installed programs can take up several times as much space. The sizes you see under 'Programs and Features' in Windows Control panel are often wildly inaccurate.
