Hi,

I just learned from one of the video tutorials, that an artboard can have a color, which is a nice thing to have. I tried it and realized, that it seems, that the color does not extends into the bleed, when exporting the document. Is that so or do I miss a setting?

Thanks

Sebastian

Hi Sebastian,

Welcome to Affinity Forums :)

Yes, that's how it works. In this regard Artboards behave like other objects (shapes). They do not extend beyond their boundaries. You can however create a rectangle shape place in on the bottom of the layers stack of that artboard and extend it beyond the Artboard boundaries. It will fill the bleed area.
