PhotoDante
The original shot is taken in July 2015. I did not feel happy lately the way the light was done so I tweaked it today a little in Affinity photo, I added some dodge and burn layers. Kodiak
• If ever possible, I would like a look at the original file to see what you were tackling! What converter did you use? There are some issues with this rendition but I would consider only one: the lack of details in the high keys! PhotoDante
@kodiak, You mean the high keys of the lemon?Personally I don't feel problems with those high keys. @animalhass If I would take the picture again I would do it very differently. With more knowledge and more and better equipment, the result would change significantly. LOL You convince me both to make the picture again. anon1
Well the part that steals the "wow" is mainly the lemon already flat on the ground instead of still in the air/ half on the groundMaybe try in an aquariumCheers
PhotoDante
This shot is taken in a bathroom. The most important thing to me is in the light, that's what I should do now in a different way. Aeros4
I think what MBd is suggesting is a good idea, to have the lemon in mid flight would increase the wow. It could be done in a static take with the lemon supported in a way that does not need a high speed exposure. then added on its own layer. Perhaps BB que sticks could be used to impale the lemon with the opposite end of the stick secured to a base, perhaps Styrofoam. Good luck, nice work. anon1
PhotoDante
Thanks MBd and Aeros4 for the tips, I'll keep those in mind with the remake and definitely while show you the results here. Kodiak
• You may consider that having values lower than 235/255 at recording is good practice.
