There's a problem with loading settings in this build, so I've replaced the link with the 1.5.1.47 build. If you've already downloaded build 50, and are experiencing problems, please re-download from the above link.

Is that at startup? We changed the way we load and save the settings in this version (to improve startup and shutdown speeds), so there might be a problem there. Can you zip and attach the following folder for me?

 

%APPDATA%\Affinity\Photo\1.0 (Beta)\Settings

Yes at startup.

 

At me there is no folder "Settings" on drive c: (neither for the final version 1.5.0.45). Or do you mean the folder "plugins"? In this there is only a file named status.json.

No problems with the crash, but then, as always, I did a Ctrl runup of APh and wiped all my settings.

 

(Particularly as there is new code for loading and saving documents - might be the cause of the crashing?)

I would rather keep all of my (significant) settings.....! or export them and reload?

if I delete Commands.xml, it works. (references wrong version?) Then only some warning from UserInterfacePreferences.xml

Unhandeled Exception at start - reproducable ... That Beta is screwed ...

Crashed on startup too. First error code: 0x80004003, clicked OK and then a second error message code: 0xC0000005.

OK, seems to be something to do with loading in custom preferences. I'll stop this beta...

I had the same startup error. After renaming the folder %APPDATA%\Affinity\Photo\1.0 (Beta) 

AP created a new one and the startup problem disappeared.

I've replaced the 50 build with the original 47 build. So if you'd like to re-download from the link above, you can revert back.

Worked for me also. Now runs fine.
