Turtle_Island
Need to export EPS files from Affinity Designer to a Mac app called PatterNodes. However the EPS files exported from Affinity Designer will not import. An error message is given. “Could not read EPS vector data from the image 'test2.eps'. Try saving it as another version of EPS.” However I have tried various export settings from Designer and no luck. If Adobe Illustrator or the Sketch App EPS files are used then they import with no problem. Please advise. btw. the PatterNodes app is great for creating complex patterns and designs which would be hard to create in Designer alone. JimmyJack
Can you post the eps here? I'm not having a problem importing to Patter. You're importing to an image node right? Are you using the same eps that worked from AI and resaved in AD?
Oval
Welcome here, Turtle_Island. Please try to use “Image” instead of “Custom Shape”. Does that help? If even copy and paste (from AD) does not work, try to export PDFs.
Turtle_Island
Hi, Thanks for the replies. Yes, using "image" works, however then I can not set the FILL and STROKE colors within PatterNodes. Here is the eps file that will not work. Turtle_Island
This EPS was created in AD, my subscription to AI ran out, so I want to use AD from now on. My old EPS files from AI all work in PatterNodes, and a few test files I created with the demo version of Sketch work. Within PatterNodes it is the "Custom Shape" element I need to use.
