Shape Builder Tool

Recommended Posts

The Affinity apps already have tools for stars and other geometric figures. The OP is asking for a tool to add and subtract shapes dynamically at creation time, so that you don't have to perform a separate sequence of geometry commands (add, subtract, intersect, etc).

Hi ambiroa,

I'm not sure i'm following you but yes you can change the stroke of shape (or compound) you create with boolean operations. What the OP is asking here is for a tool to create complex shapes using boolean operations dynamically. Check this video for a simple example.

Yeah I know exactly what the OP means as I use Illustrator. I just assumed that tool is something AD has already so I didn't try it during the beta. But I downloaded the AD for mac trial yesterday to try out all the things I like to be able to do, that I haven't got the time before during the beta. Hopefully I can spend those 10 days (btw, why 10, why not 30?) as much as possible on trying things that I can in Illustrator.
