2kroz
I am trying to deal with a purple spot which sometimes turns up in my photos, usually when I am zooming and the sun is in a particular angle in front of me. I'm new to Affinity. Does it have the ability not only to select a color but then to remove, fade or replace it? Or - ?
Staff Lee D Posted December 20, 2016 Staff Share Posted December 20, 2016 Hi 2kroz, Welcome to the forums. It's hard to suggest a particular method without seeing an example image. That being said, have you tried using the Inpainting tool or Clone tool to remove the spot from the image?
2kroz
Ok, here's the latest incarnation of the latest I was working with. I did try inpainting - no luck. Didn't try the Clone tool because the waterfall makes a simple duplication tricky - though I might be able to fudge around with it. Thanks for your response. ronnyb
That's called a lens flare... I would make a circular selection with a soft feathered edge around the spot and try the HSL adjustment or the Curves adjustment to shift the color appropriately.... JimmyJack
How about the Color Replacement brush. 'bout 6 seconds. Kinda like magic. 2kroz, ronnyb and carl123
