Basiccomic
Hi, first post here - hoping to hit the button on a copy of Affinity photo today. Only one thing holding me back - text handling. I currently use photoshop on my Mac to lay out the panels and speech for a comic (which I then paint on iPad Pro with Paintstorm studio). In photoshop I have several text styles saved so that, for example, if one character is talking, I can just hit my 'speech' style, and the font, size, spacing and color are all set. While Affinity photo has a really nice text tool, I didn't see anything like this in the 1.4 demo. I did see, in the release notes for 1.5, that it now has text styles. Could anyone with the current version please elaborate a little as to what these are? Are they just heading, subheading etc. (like in Word) or do they allow you to save all aspects of font style as you would a brush or fill style? Thanks! Uuiop
Hi Basiccomic and welcome. Yes, APh has very full character, paragraph and 'group' style facilities accessible from View > Studio > Text Styles. Entering "style' in the Affinity Photo Help menu item offers clear, concise overview and instructions. Hope this is useful. This is also true in ADes
