Affinity Photo for Mavericks doesn't display Tiff images

Hello. I am running AP on OSX 10.9.5 (Mavericks) and have a problem properly displaying tiff files.

The files are 16 bit uncompressed, and display as an all noise, white screen.

There is no image no matter how I adjust levels, only noise.

I attached a screen shot of the displayed TIFF.

I have no problem opening and working with RAW (Sony) files.

What is causing this display issue?

Hi, I tried: MacBook Air, OSX 10.9.5, AP 1.5.1, and from Aperture was made a *.tiff 16 bit, in AP it is called RGBA/16, sRGB... No problems to show it.

I'm guessing the byte-order is wrong (or interpreted wrong) in that tif file.

 

Or it might be something funky as transparency why you (almost) don't see any image.

Thanks to all, here is an update.

It seems that the only TIFF files that don't open properly, are the output files from the Sequator (Ver 1.1f)

Windows (7-64 bit) image stacking program.

The same files will open in all my other image processing programs, with no problem.

Any suggestions with this additional information?

I tried to attach the Sequator output TIFF file, but this forum does not allow that type of file.
