Hi Grigio18,

Welcome to the forums.

You can use the bracket keys to increase the size, to change the hardness, hold ALT and the right mouse button in, now press and hold the left mouse button in and move the mouse up or down.

Hello Lee,

I am on Affinity Photo on PC and I cannot change the brush resize nor hardness either with the mouse and the keyboard modifier.

Beside my keyboard is AZERTY so I cannot make the brackets shortcuts work either.

This is very limitative. Do you have an idea how this could work?

Thank you very much

I am with azerty (french windows/english AP), I remaped shortcuts to , and ; but mainly use Alt+RMB+LMB which works really great.

I Veti,

Welcome to Affinity Forums :)

Go to menu Edit ▸ Preferences, Keyboard Shortcuts, set the dropdown(s) to Photo and Paint Brush Tool and enter the shortcuts you want to use in the list.

Regarding using the mouse, press and hold ALT + right mouse button + left mouse button and drag horizontally to change brush size and vertically to change brush hardness.

Hi Meb,

Thank you, it's clearer now. So far I didn't get the 2 mouse buttons had to be clicked.

Best regards,

Veti
