madams
In photoshop under File you can revert back to the original photo very quickly. I would like to see that in Affinity Photo. Great program by the way.
Staff MEB Posted December 15, 2016 Staff Share Posted December 15, 2016 Hi madams, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) You can drag the History slider to the beginning to revert all the edits or go to menu View ▸ Studio ▸ Snapshots, select the first one (on top) and click on the Restore Snapshot icon (Affinity Photo automatically creates one when you open an image in the program). nameIsNotAName
The History window doesn't work very well, clicked on a step at the beginning of the list and lost other steps! In photoshop (because it was mentioned, but it's pretty much expected) to be able to click on the steps and see the differences without losing any step. -- In Photoshop, you can do this, and only loose steps if take an action that writes into history. Quite annoyed I lost 30 steps of my history because I clicked in one in the beginning to see the differences. :/ A good idea would be to be able to drag and drop, and delete single steps from the history, with the image recreated every time. Staff MEB Posted December 15, 2016 Staff Share Posted December 15, 2016 Hi nameIsNotAName, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) You only lost steps if you go back in the History a few steps and click on canvas. If you don't click on canvas you shouldn't lose anything unless there's a bug somewhere... Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
