Affinity Photo Save Location

Recommended Posts

I would like to request that AP have the original file's location as the default place to save images once they have been developed/processed. At present AP save defaults to the last used location rather than the folder where the original (RAW?) file is stored. This would be particularly useful when using a DAM programme to round trip between the DAM for cataloguing and Affinity Photo for processing, and potentially avoid a bunch of searching and clicking when the location of the original file is buried deep within a catalogue filing system.

Thanks for considering this possibility.

Yes, I strongly support this request. I am just trying to work out a good way of using this program and I frequently run into problems when I open up an image, work on it, then save, only to discover it has been saved somewhere other than the original file's location. It is not really workable to use the last used location for saving a file.

If changing the current default location is not an option, then PLEASE let there be a preferences setting that will let us choose between last used location and original file location.
