tristantay
Hi I known this issue has been discussed before but I don't seems to make overprint work. Basically I have set my text to overprint 100% black in global colors but my pdf output shows the background color is being knockout by the text. Traditionally the background should be in solid when text are set to overprint. Please help. Thanks Tristan overprint test.pdf
Teo_
Same frustrating issue here. I have to convert texts to curves to get the black overprint to work :(
MikeW
Teo_ Like the OP, you would need to supply a PDF. And it would be best to see the AD file itself. Samples that exhibit the issue are fine.

Sorry, you are right. Checking a bit, I’ve found a strange behaviour. May be it is related to grouped items… Black overprint test.afdesign Black overprint test.pdf
MikeW
There is something funky with that group of objects. But otherwise it is working properly. I cannot get AD to fail like that. It would be interesting to know how it got into that state. Want some fun? Release the group and generate another PDF and in the Acrobat Overprint Preview, where you have the drop down set to separations, change it to Color Warnings and check the box for Overprint. Yes, strange, and is something similar to what happened in the project where I’ve got the overprint converting text to curves. Creating a new file I get the right behaviour. Looking back to the history of this work, I think it was an error starting from the last pages of attached file template to quickly get a folder. pm_of_1mm_mass.pdf
