2. vertical arrangement text is a very important way for Asian languages

3. There're at least 25 millions people using Traditional Chinese as the only official language.

So it's kind to offer Traditional Chinese locale.

It's very easy to transform Simple Chinese into Traditional Chinese.

If there's any difficulty to you, I can transform for you for free.

Just send me the Simple Chinese locales.

Your kindness is much appreciated.

Hi Butyroger,

1. Regarding the crash, I've just installed Affinity Photo Customer Beta 1.5.1.46 onto a Chinese Windows 10 installation and cannot get the crash or freezing. It could be down to a custom font you have installed.

What font is meant to be in the blank space just below SimSun-ExtB? Do you find the crash appears at roughly the same point in the list? If so it could be the next few fonts that is causing it to crash so would be worth trying to remove any from there. If you do find which one is causing it then please let us know so we can look at getting the crash fixed.

If you do get the crash on the Customer Beta above could you attach the crash reference that appears when you restart the application please?

2. Please make a request regarding this in our Feature Requests forum
3. I will pass this on to the translation team.

I am using Windows7 pro 64bit Japanese.

Same thing happens to me.

This problem for Affinity Designer 1.5.1.43 and Customer Beta 1.5.1.43 , Affinity Photo 1.5.0.45 and Customer Beta 1.5.1.46.

There was no problem for Affinity Designer 1.5.0.36 , Affinity Photo Beta 1.5.0.35 and near version.

Maybe this information is very helpful.

The blank of font selection above is this font below.

Simsun-PUA

https://goo.gl/e8Qtpc

download here if you need it to test.

https://goo.gl/7OF1do

The interesting thing is in Adobe illustration we can't find the same font on it.

I guess Adobe met same problem and ignore it to avoid crashing.

I removed font Simsun-PUA and font selected again.

Unfortunately Designer still badly crash and freeze and I can't check the following fonts.

Hope you guys can fix these problems asap.

These problems make us can't work with Designer and Photo.

Looks like it isn't that font that is causing trouble. Unfortunately I might have to take a copy of your entire Windows Font directory if you don't mind? That way I will have all the fonts you have and should be able to reproduce the issue.

Go to C:\Windows

Right click 'Fonts' and select Send To > Compressed (zipped) Folder

It will say it cannot create it here, and if you want it placed on the desktop. Click 'Yes' to this.

You should now have a file called 'Fonts.zip' on your Desktop. Could you upload this to our internal Dropbox account here please (be aware the file might be quite large so could take a while - mine was 400mb):

Hi Kyo,

If you could also do the same as above that would be great! Thanks!

hi Sean,

maybe it's too big to upload on dropbox.

7.4G

download here and hit me when it's done for deleting it.

even it looks so big but it works fine on illustrator on same computer.

I guess it won't be a problem on designer.

Thanks for your high efficient working on it.

Oh wow! That was much bigger than I was expecting - thank you very much for taking the time out to upload a file that big!

I'm downloading that now so it may take a while! I will let you know when it's downloaded!

Sorry for only just getting back to you! It took about 4 attempts to get the file fully downloaded, however I've now got it downloaded to you can remove the file! Just installing them now - which may also take a little while. Thanks again for sending us the file!

Yes seems this situation appears in certain Asian-based language system. I'm using Windows 7 with Traditional Chinese language environment and facing the same problem (which makes my newly-bought Affinity Designer unusable). Really hope the Affinity Team could tackle the situation soon enough.

My issue are reported here: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/33917-affinity-designer-freezingcrashing-in-font-dialog/
