If you would like to use Affinity products, but are unable to because your computer is only running Windows 10 32-bit, you'll likely be able to overcome that by clean installing the 64-bit version of Windows 10 on it. 64-bit processors have been shipping with PC's for a long time, so the chances are your PC will already have hardware capable of running 64-bit Windows. Doing an in-place upgrade from 32-bit Windows to 64-bit Windows isn't possible as there's no direct upgrade path from 32-bit to 64-bit Windows. So, you would need to backup all your files to another harddrive(s) and then clean install Windows 10 64-bit. It may be worth you reading through the below article where it gives details about switching from Windows 10 (32-bit) to Windows 10 (64-bit) using Microsoft's Windows 10 Media Creation tool. Article:https://www.howtogeek.com/228042/how-to-switch-from-32-bit-windows-10-to-64-bit-windows-10/ Additional Article:https://www.howtogeek.com/348850/why-you-should-always-install-64-bit-windows/ Affinity System Requirements (at the bottom):https://affinity.serif.com/en-gb/photo/full-feature-list/https://affinity.serif.com/en-gb/designer/full-feature-list/ Clean Install Instructions With Screenshots:https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/2376-create-bootable-usb-flash-drive-install-windows-10-a.htmlhttps://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/1950-clean-install-windows-10-a.html Clean Install Walkthrough Video:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QAvFm52IjI4 Windows 10 Media Creation Tool Download Link:https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/software-download/windows10 NB: There's a new version of Windows that's about to be released soon (Windows 10 17134, 1803 Update). If after reading the article you decide you want to upgrade to the 64-bit version of Windows, then I'd wait for that version to be released by Microsoft and clean install that. The new version of the Windows 10 Media Creation tool for that version should be available to download in the next few weeks when it's released to the public. Yes, there are several relatively high performance Chromebooks on the market now, like these that Google is promoting as "business devices," but that is not quite the same thing as saying they are "professional" ones. When you check the specs & prices, it starts to become obvious why even the most glowing reviews stop short of saying they are a great fit for pro level graphics work. For example, consider Google's latest high performance Pixelbook, touted here as the best Chromebook to date. For a bit north of $1000 USD you get a large display & some other impressive features, but just a dual core Intel Core i5 with a nominal clock speed of only 1.2 GHz. The GPU is a low-end integrated Intel HD Graphics 615. For another $100 or so you can get Google's Pen, possibly the only pen that offers both pressure & tilt support for Chrome OS devices. The other 'business class' Chromebooks are quite a bit cheaper but to reduce costs compromise on important features like screen size. More to the point, these more powerful devices are just a tiny fraction of the Chrome OS user base, so even if they could run a Chrome OS version of Affinity Photo that would offer performance acceptable to pro users, there is no guarantee that the market is large enough for Serif to justify the expense of developing & supporting it.
