Will we be forced to buy new versions of Affinity?

At our prices I'm not sure how much of an "upgrade" offer we should be doing... but yes all updates and new features for version 1 are free and version 2 is a new opportunity to buy and support Serif.

Updates to version 1.x are free if you own a 1.x licence. Although we will have to pay if we want to upgrade to 2.x, we won't be forced to buy it: purchase of new versions will support further development, but your existing version will continue to work indefinitely.

In an era of subscriptions I sometimes forget that these things need saying, thanks

That's what I wanted to know but how often do you plan to release new versions? Annually?
