magichmmm Posted December 9, 2016 Share Posted December 9, 2016 I have just purchased Affinity Photo for Windows and I simply cannot download the software. I keep getting failed network error. This will happen immediately or after a few kbs download. I never had this problem with all the serif products I've purchased in the past. Is there an alternative download mirror? Staff Chris B Posted December 9, 2016 Staff Share Posted December 9, 2016 Hey Simon, That's unusual, as far as I know we haven't had any reports like this yet so the only thing I can think of without looking into it some more is to either try a different browser, reset Internet Explorer, try turning your router off and on again etc. The software is hosted on Amazon CloudFront which is available to everyone globally so hopefully one of the above issues should help you as this is an isolated issue. Bat21tiger Posted March 31, 2018 Share Posted March 31, 2018 My Apple MacBook was running Affinity fine, then the AppStore updated my IOS (to 10.13.3) and began to update all the apps sequentially. When in got to Affinity, I got the same problem as the member above. A message "An error has occurred" is all that displays. I have shut down and re-started the Mac, I have uninstalled Affinity and then tried a full new installation, it failed too. I am not sure if the error is with Apple or Serif. That's all I can report. This sounds like a different issue as it looks like Affinity was installed but you are now having issues launching it after updating. Have you had any success since posting this on Saturday? Can you attach a screenshot of the error so I can see at what point it happens, if you're still having issues.
