Alfred
It should be noted that the 'Expand Stroke' feature needs some work, as it currently produces far too many nodes. You can improve the results a little by repeated use of the 'Smooth curve' button on the Action toolbar. Slightly off topic, I would be interested to learn how you achieved that sharp corner in the middle of your shape. As you can see from the circled part of the attached screenshot, I got a rounded corner when I tried to draw the same shape. R C-R
I may be missing something, but if all you want is to convert the path from a brush to one with a regular stroke, why not just change its style in the Stroke Studio panel from a 'texture line style' (the last icon that looks like a brush) to a solid line style (the second icon that looks like a diagonal line)? You can then set the stroke thickness to whatever you want. Alfred
Alfred, try this - increase the value of this setting Thanks. Changing the "Gehrung" setting ("Mitre" in UK English or "Miter" in US English) has the desired effect. :) superhaschi 1 Quote Alfred Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for Windows • Windows 10 Home/Pro Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for iPad • iPadOS 17.4.1 (iPad 7th gen)
Alfred
I may be missing something, but ... I think what you're missing is that the OP wanted to convert the path to an area / shape .. with the size of the brush Quote Alfred Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for Windows • Windows 10 Home/Pro Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for iPad • iPadOS 17.4.1 (iPad 7th gen)
R C-R
But doesn't changing the width of the stroke effectively create an area of that size? I am not sure why it has to be a filled shape. Alfred
I'm not sure, either! I guess it all depends on what the OP wants to do with it. :) Quote Alfred Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for Windows • Windows 10 Home/Pro Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for iPad • iPadOS 17.4.1 (iPad 7th gen)
