Draging and dropping layers

While this would feel natural to me, too, working with Cmd-C and Cmd-V is quite fast and already works well... :)

 

Not the same thing.

I agree with DarkClown, drag & drop have an advantage, at least on PS. When you Hold SHIFT as you drag & drop, the layer is being copied in the same exact position.

I personally use this all the time, it's super handy.

Perhaps Paste in Place can do, I need to check that out though.

'Paste in Place' pastes to the same position as you copied from (instead of pasting to the centre of the view) but the Copy step overwrites the contents of the clipboard. Drag and drop bypasses the clipboard, or at least it should do.
