anne80
to all DrawPlus_x8 users, who use Affinity Designer for Windows now instead or in addition: What are you're experiences? for which tasks do you use affinity now instead of drawplus and the other way round? I learned that it is so hard to compare but that Affinity Designer is more for professional designers and lacks some of the (main?) functions that DrawPlus has. (I just took a glimpse at the affinity designer beta, but my pc crashed before I could test it further more. i could notice: the look is different and there is this corner/edge-tool and i could not open any drawplus files..) I am really curious what you guys have to tell:) kind regards Anne
Alfred
Welcome to the Affinity Forums, Anne. :) The Corner Tool is wonderful, and the Shape Tools are more sophisticated than the QuickShapes in DrawPlus. I really miss the Knife Tool, the Blend Tool and the Perspective Tool, but all of these are on the feature roadmap (which means that they should be added in a free 1.x update). If you want to work on your DrawPlus projects in Affinity Designer, you need to export them to PDF or SVG. anne80 1 Quote Alfred Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for Windows • Windows 10 Home/Pro Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for iPad • iPadOS 17.5.1 (iPad 7th gen)
