bendito33
I'm trying to select part of an image with the Flood Selection Tool and it won't select. Staff MEB Posted November 30, 2016 Staff Share Posted November 30, 2016 Hi bendito33, Right-click the (Image) layer in the Layers panel and select Rasterise... to convert it to a (Pixel) layer type. You can then select it without issues. You can identify the layer type looking at the label between parenthesis after the layer's name in the Layers panel. You can only perform pixel based edits on Pixel layers. Image layers are considered objects. They retain all original image attributes but can only be transformed globally (scale, rotate, skew etc), you can't edit their content (pixel data). bendito33 1 A Guide to Learning Affinity Software | Affinity Quick Reference
bendito33
Oh wow that did it! Thanks! Any chance you can add a little alert to let a user know that pixel data can't be edited when they try and do an editing action? I've been pulling my hair out on this for a couple hours. Thanks again.
