emmrecs01
I suspect this is a rather naive question to ask, but... Following purchase and installation of the full release version a number of brushes were offered, and installed, as "extras". Now the first Customer Beta has been released and installed alongside the "full" version, I can no longer see/use in the Beta many of the brushes that I see installed in the .36 release. (I also installed a few of the brushes available in the Resources section of this forum; again, they do not seem to be present in the current Beta.) Any advice? Alfred
I'm seeing (or not seeing!) the same here, Jeff: it looks as though the two versions are accessing different lists. In the beta version I don't see the DAUB Inkers and others that I installed in the release version, but I do see many brushes that I added during the public beta and hadn't seen since then. Similarly, the Assets panel only shows the 'iOS 10' and 'DAUB Papers' categories in the beta version, whereas the other version also has the Grade UI assets and some DrawPlus clipart that I added. Mark Ingram
You just need to copy the file from: %APPDATA%\Affinity\Designer\1.0\user\vector_brushes.propcol to: %APPDATA%\Affinity\Designer\1.0 (Beta)\user\vector_brushes.propcol
Alfred
Is it possible to merge those two files, Mark? Now that I've seen the beta list, I'm reminded that I have quite a lot of brushes that I'd rather not have to install all over again! Mark Ingram
No, unfortunately not. Other than manually exporting the brushes, then importing them.
Alfred
That's too bad. Thanks anyway! Edit: I guess the best thing for me to do is copy in the opposite direction, since my beta brushes list is much longer than the other one. I can then simply re-add the few new brush packs. emmrecs01
@Mark. Should the copying also include the "raster_brushes.propcol"? Mark Ingram
@Mark. Should the copying also include the "raster_brushes.propcol"? Yes if you want to keep those as well.
