Dave Quail
Isn't the logo copyrighted? In that case he could be forced to stop using it. He's not using the official Affinity Photo logo, though. He's using one that is visually similar, but if you look at both of them at the same time they are definitely different. R C-R
4 hours ago, Drthvdr said: However it should be possible to transfer the license from Serif's database to Microsoft Store without them sharing any data. If Serif would send a code to the user that will remove the cost when adding the application to the Microsoft account. But like Apple, Microsoft takes a cut of the revenue generated from apps sold through its store (30% for non-subscription app sales). It also collects any applicable taxes for those sales. (See the "Store Fees" subsection or the "App Pricing, Payments, Transactions And Taxes" section of the App Developer Agreement.) Somehow, I doubt Microsoft would be very keen on the idea of forfeiting that revenue through some code Serif generates that allows users to add the app to their Microsoft store account. For that matter, I am not sure how such a code could be implemented without Serif & Microsoft sharing at least some user data for anti-piracy reasons.
