View in Photo differs from exported JPG / TIFF

Recommended Posts

Hello

I've come across an issue where the images i am manipulating seem to look totally different to the final export. For example, below is an image in Photo that I have added the Grain filter too (I've added max grain for this example).

In Affinity Photo:

then if I export it as jpg or tiff, it results in:

Open in Apple Preview

...and now it just got weirder. If I click spacebar on the file icon in Finder to preview it that way, I get a middle ground result between what I see in Photo and the actual jpg/tiff in Preview.

Any ideas?

Im using Afinity Photo 1.4.3

Thanx

Hi randomobject

Welcome to Affinity Forums :)

All filters/adjustments in Affinity apps are dynamic and applied to what you see on screen, this means their rendering might change a little depending on the zoom level. To get an accurate preview of the exported image make sure you are viewing your work at 100% zoom inside Affinity Photo.
