Double click to delete point isn't working

Recommended Posts

I can add points by double-clicking on a line, but I can't delete them the same way, which as far as I can tell is a feature that's still in the program? I'm used to the alt-click with the pen tool in illustrator, which is important when you expand the rounded stroke of a line only to find that the round bit added 15 extra points.

Hi askrahn,

Welcome to Affinity Forums :)

In Designer you only have to click once to add a point with the Node Tool. To remove a node, select it and press delete on your keyboard. If you are using the Pen Tool you can switch to the Node Tool temporarily to perform these function pressing and holding the Ctrl key.

Thanks. I'm missing the ability to just point and blow them away with a specific tool, but I'll cope.

I think one of the tutorials or a guide on line told me to try double-clicking? I can't remember where though...
