[Win10 AD 1.5.0.36] change CMYK values to % and a color change question

Recommended Posts

Hello I work mostly with print so I changed the color panel to show CMYK values, but the numbering is still in RGB form (0 to 255). How can I change them to show cmyk percentage?

Also I try to do something that helped me in illustrator but can't find out how to do it with AD.

In illustrator I could go to edit-> edit colors-> recolor artwork and there I could do some color changes, like say change only the parts of the design that are in black to blue.

Is there a way to do this in AD?

To give a better example I have selected a group of objects who are blue and I want to turn them black. Just changing the color doesn't do the trick because some of them have the black in fill and other have it in stroke, so if I try to change color to black it create a black fill for the objects with the stroke.

Is this possible?

Thank you

I still haven't found an answer to CMYK numbers, should I report it as bug?

Hi nitro912gr,

Welcome to the forums.

On the Colour panel, make sure your have CMYK selected, right click on the Panel Preferences. Now make sure Percentage is enabled, you should then notice the slider will change from 8bit (0 to 255) to Percentage (0 to 100).

Affinity Designer doesn't have a feature like Recolour in AI, it does have Global colours, but these need to be setup on the Swatches palette.

For me, it is a left click on the four line panel preferences icon. Right clicking on it does nothing.
