Layer Effects - Gradient Overlay > Colour Picker

I attempted to use a colour picker within the HSL Colour Wheel in Layer Effects GO. It does not appear to function? 

 

EDIT:  Appears same issue with Colour Overlay in Layer Effects....

I'f I understood you well, just  click with mouse (lmb) in the triangle to pick a color, it'll do.  If is about picking a color from canvas, then drag the color picker icon over some color in the painted canvas or photo. Then you have to double click on the tiny circle besides the color picker icon. 

 

Of course, for gradient case you need to select in the gradient each time the circle extreme you want to edit. :)
