Can't seem to get letter spacing (kerning) to become active regardless of font used.

The drop-down menu shows either 'auto' or '0%' as active, with all other available spacing options (i.e., -5% etc) greyed out.

To replicate, type some text, then select Text->Show Character (or CTRL+T), and try to enter a value to adjust kerning (top left box under 'Positioning and Transform').

Hey Garish,

You need to insert the caret between the characters for the kerning settings to work. I find that clicking between the text to place the caret and holding Alt+Left/Right arrow on the keyboard is also a good way of adjusting the kerning.
