PaulHMason
I'm new to AD, so I may be doing things wrong. Is there any way to create/import/export groups of named text styles in a similar way to color swatches? Basically, I want to create a group of text styles that can be exported and then imported by other users. It's easy enough to create them for my own use - I just don't see how to export them. Thanks. R C-R
Does the "Export Styles Category..." item on the Styles palette not work for you? Dave Harris
For text styles, there's no export, but you can import them from other documents. You can create an empty document with the styles you want, and then other users can import that.
PaulHMason
Thank, but that doesn't quite work the way that I want (it includes other properties of the text that I don't want, like the fill). If I could select the properties to include in the style then it would be perfect. For text styles, there's no export, but you can import them from other documents. Dave Harris
You can select the properties that are included in the text style. For example, to remove the fill, double-click on the style in the Text Style pane (or use the menu Edit option), go to the Colour and Decorations tab, and uncheck the checkbox next to Text fill. Every property should have either a checkox or a [No change] option.
