nobrandheroes
Hi everyone. I've been using the Windows beta, and I like so far. One thing I don't understand is how to manage the many artboards I generate when doing mockups for a website. I don't know if I am doing something wrong, but I am getting dozens at a given screen size. How am I supposed to keep them together without it being one large area that I have to spend so much time scrolling and it becomes unwieldy? I apologize if this is an obvious question, I don't typically do design work, so all this is new to me.
Staff MEB Posted November 17, 2016 Staff Share Posted November 17, 2016 Hi nobrandheroes, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) If you double-click the thumbnail of an Artboard in the Layers panel Affinity will fit the artboard to the screen. R C-R
MEB's tip also applies to object, group, & some other layer types in the Layers panel. This is very handy for zooming in & out on different parts of your work quickly & easily, no matter where they are in the workspace. nobrandheroes
That is useful. Thanks guys. Let me ask this. Is there a way to group items so that only the grouped items are visible? Like say I have 50 artboards, and only want to show the first 10, but then I also only want to show the even ones later?
Staff MEB Posted November 17, 2016 Staff Share Posted November 17, 2016 No, currently there's no way to hide the artboards themselves. Only its contents. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
