Since I am new and trying to learn along the way, these forums are proving invaluable. I only have AD for iPad right now and am working on a vector-based anchor, which I want to make look gold. So your tutorial fits right in - thanks. The question I have (probably silly) is does it have to be done in Affinity Photo or is there a way to do the Live Lighting in Affinity Designer? Or is it possible to load the vector graphic into Affinity Photo, texturize it and then bring it back into AD? Appreciate the help in advance! firstdefence
Hi ken, The Affinity file ecosystem means you can go-between each of the apps regards of the file extension, so you can just as easily open an afdesign file in Affinity Photo and visa versa. Affinity Designer does have a pixel persona but to use live filters would require you to use Affinity Photo. ken.M
@firstdefence - okay so it sounds like I need to get Affinity Photo for the iPad as well I'll give that a shot. If I understand your comment correctly, I can take the anchor I have made in Affinity Designer, load it into Affinity Photo, follow the tutorial you outlined, save it, and then load it back into Affinity Designer. Interesting. I'll give it a try. Thanks!

Edit: I’ve attached a *.afdesign file containing a Live Lighting filter layer that was originally added in APh on iPad. live-lighting.afdesign firstdefence 1 Quote Alfred Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for Windows • Windows 10 Home/Pro Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for iPad • iPadOS 17.4.1 (iPad 7th gen)
