We group channels into respective layers, and we only apply the alpha channel to the associated layer - so, that would be and RGBA, YA, or YRYBYA layer. The alpha doesn't get propagated to every layer. We don't combine alpha with any other layer type, such as XYZ, Z or ZBack layers - in these cases the Alpha is loaded as a separate grayscale layer. pdaniun Posted November 11, 2016 Author Share Posted November 11, 2016 Ah, I see, my bad. I usually save a file as RGBA, and the Photoshop plugin asks me if it should apply Alpha on opening the file. So i have an additional Alpha Channel, next to Red Green and Blue. I had expected such an option when opening a file in Affinity but it just respected the RGBA file type, as it should.
