skipper
When I try to install Affinity for Windows I get a message telling me that it can't find "Platform Update". I have been onto the Microsoft site and downloaded what is supposed to be this update. when I run this update I am told that it is a standalone installer and is looking for updates on my computer. It then appears to go round and round in ever diminishing circles until I get fed up with waiting. The cancel button doesn't work so I have to use Task Manager to stop this nonsense. I have never had this problem with any other programme - why is Affinity such a pain on my computer? I am running Win7 with SP1 and all the latest updates. Chris_K
Hi Skipper This is a common issue with Microsoft's Windows Update, both the online and stand alone installer, especially on Windows 7. Although we require the update to run, the actual download and install of the update is not something we are involved in, at this point it's purely Microsoft.
