UI request: 'selected' icon too dark

Hi a suggestion from me. the toolbar on the left of the screen - the indication that a tool is selected is a darker grey or black 'highlight' on a dark grey screen. That is just not clear enough (and yes I have a hardware calibrated photographers IPS monitor). I think the dark 'highlight' is just 'too cool' for its own good. Would prefer something brighter that I can see at a glance.

We've had some feedback regarding this before. It is a little dark, especially on some monitors. I found that knocking the UI Gamma up a bit in Preferences helps but I agree it could do with some attention.
