zuba
When you open the application for the first time it shows a window with various samples. However no matter where you click on a sample image or the cloud icon next to it, it won't start downloading or open it or give you any way to know what is going on. Staff TonyB Posted November 10, 2016 Staff Share Posted November 10, 2016 Thanks for the report. We will have a look at this and see why it isn't working. Do you have any firewall or proxy servers setup? Also have you tried the Affinity Designer beta?
zuba
No, there is no firewall or proxy. I have not tried the Designer Beta, so don't know if that would work.

Staff MEB Posted November 10, 2016 Staff Share Posted November 10, 2016 Thanks all. Issue logged. This is only happening in Photo for Windows. Chris B 1 A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
Bastieeeh
On my computer it takes some time - between 30 seconds to 1 minute for the cloud shaped icon to change its state. And it seems I can only activate the download for two samples at the time.
iska13
Ive tried to download the samples using Affinity on mu MacBook Pro without success. No luck with Affinity Designer. I will check my security setup. Thanks for any help and Happy Thanksgiving
Staff MEB Posted November 24, 2016 Staff Share Posted November 24, 2016 Hi iska13, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) Some sample files may take some time until the progress bar (the white outline around the sample) show some progress because the files are quite big. Also make sure your connection is not blocked by some firewall or similar programs. A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
