Footloose49
I have been using for more decades than I care to remember, the magic wand function in the likes of PS, PSP and dare I say this - in virtually every graphics package I have ever used - but it seems it has not been implemented in Photo, or this works in a significantly different way to every other version of this function I've used elsewhere. Can you explain (If indeed it is there) how it works? I have also typed in 'Magic wand' in your help search bar, but nothing comes up there. Without it, I'm afraid Photo is not going to be used much more by me.
Staff MEB Posted November 10, 2016 Staff Share Posted November 10, 2016 Hi Footloose49, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) The equivalent tool in Affinity Photo is the Flood Select Tool (5th icon from top on the toolbar on the left in Photo Persona). It works in a similar way as you are used too. The main difference is that you can drag it on canvas to increase/decrease the tolerance too. Footloose49
Thanks for that, I'll give it a try ... Will you be implementing at some point in the future, the Magic wand function, because the functionality that gives is quite different and I'm 'disappointed' the much more highly selective and versatile magic wand function is not present.
