New objects -> Always Default

Recommended Posts

Unfortunately no, but if you copy the new object and then select the original, you can paste the style of the original one to the new one. (Edit > Paste Style, or Ctrl/Cmd + Shift + V).

The website is still a work in progress. The "Comics" and "Shop" sections are not yet ready. Feel free to connect with me and let me know what you like or what can be improved. You can contact me here, on my contact page, YouTube channel, or Twitter account. Thanks and have a great day!

Thanks leduc, sad to hear there's no setting for this.

It’s somewhat tedious to be aware of what you manipulate not to change the settings, or hitting reset or applying styles all the time.
It would be nice not to have this in mind while working, it seems like a simpler way.

I believe Affinity is working on improving the color picker. I'm not sure if it will copy the properties as well, but it would make things easier if it does.

There should be a two icon "Defaults" item on the main toolbar. If you are using the default toolbar arrangement, it should be the second item after the Personas icon set. Both icons use a rounded 5 point star, one with an up-pointing arrow & the other is filled in & has a red slash mark in it. The first one syncs the defaults for the currently selected tool to the current selection; the other reverts that tool to the defaults.

So for example, if the Pen tool is defaulting to the last used fill & stroke colors, selecting the Pen tool & clicking the second icon (with the slash mark) reverts those settings to the factory defaults; conversely, clicking the first icon with some object selected sets the Pen tool to use that object's settings the next time you draw something with the Pen tool.

I completely forgot about those two options. Sweet.

That seems to work for me, thanks professor !
