Hi, I'm new to Affinity Designer. I have a problem.

When I open it for first time, I show the app normally. When I close it , the app still stay in the dock panel. But I click on it again, it doesn't appear back. Is this a bug or what?

I don't want right click and quit it all the time like this.

Please help.

Hi Sengkea,

Welcome to the Forums :)

This is because the app is actually still running (see attached) to exit it properly you will need to either right click the icon in your dock and click quit or go to File > Quit.

Hi sengkea,

Welcome to Affinity Forums :)

This is by design. When you close the application it remains in the dock. To reopen it again select it on dock then go to menu on top File ▸ New document or open a Recent Document.

Thank you.

I thought it is like Photoshop that I can open again and again.

Well, I agree about the red X. -But sometimes, when I just use the yellow X or cmd H it won't wake up again. I have to do cmd Q and I loose all the work I have done. It doesn't offer to save the work.
