Program crashes

I am new to affinity designer on Mac. I used it all day yesterday with no issue. Today, the program keeps crashing when I try to select objects in my design. I looked through forum and restarted designer by pushing control and unchecking everything. Reopened logo and try to select object, crash..... 

Should I reinstall?

Is this issue occurring with one file or is it anything you try to select in Affinity Designer? If the issue is with all of your files please try a reinstallation and let me know if it solves your issue :)

I was able to save and reopen. It looks like I am no longer having an issue.

Hi there,

 

I'm having that very issue since last week! I had Designer since June and it was a delight but now the app is not working very well at all. It crashes constantly just trying to move an object and when it doesn't it is so slow that I can't really work. Do you know what might have triggered this? I have reinstalled the program and tried with various different files previously created with Designer.

 

I am running the latest version on a OX El Capitan 10.11.6, the machine is a Mac Pro from early 2008.

I kept looking in the forum and found a link to a 1.5.2 Beta version, just trying now, but it seems to have resolved the crashes!  :)

Crashing Down example: 

1-Make any vector any colored object (exm: rectangle).
2-Rasterize that object. (select object, top menu bar LAYER / RESTERIZE...)
3-Now undo your action. (CTRL Z)

You will see the problem.

No problem with Affinity Designer for Mac, retail version 1.5.1.

 

Are you using the Windows beta? If so, which version?

Are you able to reproduce this with another file from scratch or it just happens with a particular file?

Can you attach the file here if that's the case?

You do not need to send any files.

This is true for every new study.

Would you please try and tell me? (on Affiny Designer Windows Beta)

I've tried it already on Affinity Designer Beta (1.5.0.36 RC) for Windows on my system but it doesn't crash for me. I can revert back to the shape again after rasterised it pressing ctrl+Z or using the History slider.

I'm still trying to replicate this. Maybe I'm missing something...
