Size difference between Coral Draw and Affinity Design

Recommended Posts

hi all,

i have a question that i hope you might be able to solve:

when i export my afdesign files to eps and my supplier opens them with coral draw, the size changes, e.g. from the original 120x120cm to 90x90cm. this happens all the time and neither he or i can explain why that happens - anyone got an idea?

Hi Frank The Tank,

Welcome to the forums.

Without having Corel Draw it's hard to say, I created some test EPS files in Designer with the same dimensions as yours. In the apps I opened the EPS files in, they all imported at the correct size of 120cm x 120cm. It may be the version of Corel Draw being used isn't reading the EPS data correctly, if this is the case I'm not sure if there is anything our developers could do.

Which version of Corel Draw is being used?

Regards

L

Look at the ruler. Notice the 0 is towards the middle of the drawing? If your supplier double-clicks on the intersection of the ruler, it will reset the coordinates to the top left and bottom left of the EPS file and it will read (it is here) 120cm.

I believe it is an issue in CD. I am using X8 here, but it use to happen in earlier versions as well. Various EPS files from other applications are opened using different coordinates as well.
