I have images with rounded corners which i would like to export.  However, I cannot seem to export without the underlying square corners of the canvas appearing.

Probably an easy answer, have not found it.  I enclose a sample jpg export.

Hi hallgee,

Welcome to Affinity Forums :)

You have to export to a format that supports transparency as PNG for example (JPG doesn't support it).

To turn the background transparent go to menu File ▸ Document Setup..., Colour section and check Transparent background.

Alternatively if your objects are all inside a single layer you can also select it in the Layers panel then go to menu File ▸ Export and select Selection without background from the Area dropdown.

Pixel images always have square corners, you have to use transparency (or similar colour as on applied use background) to hide them.
