I want to save my studio settings

Recommended Posts

This is more a hack under Windows. Have a look at this folder: C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Affinity\Publisher\1.0\Workspaces\Publisher

WindowProfile.xml controls where the panels are placed. Adjust the panels as you like and close the application. Save the file e.g. to desktop. Make another WindowProfile.xml, saves this also. Now you have two different sets of workspaces. If you need another workspace, just copy the file to the folder and if you start the application again you can use this workspace. As said: More a hack. More convenient would be of course the possibility of loading a workspace from within the application without a restart.

Edit: It seems to be, that you can even control the personas there a bit.

No save Studio feature?

Arrange your panels and then visit menu View >> Studio Presets.

Toggle UI

Toggle UI is not new; it's been around for a long time.

OK, I was hoping to find a logical reason to why I can't update a preset. I guess I have my answer. ;(

You can update a Studio Preset.

  1. Select the Preset so it's active.
  2. Make whatever changes to the Studio layout you want.
  3. Add Preset, and specify the same Preset name.
  4. You'll be prompted to either change the name or replace the existing preset.
