Bhikkhu Pesala
It's too late for that kind of change now. Try Babel Map — it's much better than Windows Charactermap Quote AMD A10-6800K, with Radeon HD Graphics 4100 GHz 8 Gb on Windows 10 64-bit build 17763.316 • My Free OpenType Fonts
manroe
It´s very powerful, but in the beginning very difficult to find what I´m searching, but I try, thanks for it :-)
Staff Patrick Connor Posted November 1, 2016 Staff Share Posted November 1, 2016 It's too late for that kind of change now. Sure this won't be in the 1.5 Windows release version, so Babel Map is a good solution, but features are added in each point release, and we don't tend to discourage new requests being made. Wiredframe
I prefer Nexus Font http://www.xiles.net/ Open the character map by clicking the second icon in the toolbar.
JanT
Also wondering about a character map being added in the future. Neither Babel or NexusFont allow for access to unmapped open type glyphs. AD does, to some extent, via stylistic alternates but working in that way is very roundabout and burdensome when working with fonts that have a large number of glyphs. More importantly, it isn't possible to access glyphs that don't readily have corresponding keyboard options. Some software programs allow for entering known HEX codes to get around that issue, but again, that doesn't work with unmapped fonts. 000

No, it doesn't work for a glyph which isn't mapped to a codepoint. It does work if the software allows you to specify a glyph index (e.g. G+nnnn instead of U+nnnn) but that's a rather clunky approach. Dave Harris
We hope to include a glyph panel in 1.6. Peter Werner, SaucyWeeTart, OneStory and 3 others
OneStory
Like to emphasize as well the need for a glyph table (like Fixx and other), as I work a lot with unicode characters (asian) and without it, it's terribly hard to work reliable on a design.
