LazyBrush
Hello there, Um, am I being dumb? I can't see where to get the resources for the tutorials in the Workbook. 'fisherman_01_sketch.afdesign scan_360.jpeg' Doesn't seem to be a URL. Help! thanks, LB Besli
Staff Lee D Posted October 28, 2016 Staff Share Posted October 28, 2016 Hi LB, Welcome to the forums. If you look on pg 262, under the heading Resources is a link in green ( like affin.co/xyz, but instead of xyz type it in exactly as it appears at the start of each chapter ), type this into your browsers address bar and press Enter. It will download a zip file, double click on this to extract to a folder and all the files for that section are in there. L
mac_heibu
A most simple search ("workbook") here instantly reveals this: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/26845-where-are-the-workbook-project-resource-links/?hl=workbook
TrevorW
I got the excellent Photo workbook but the www.affin.co/xyz does not consistently work for me. I have so far managed to get only one file downloaded. affin.co/discovery just leads me to a forum in which resource-links to Designer - not Photo - cannot be found. Either BT or Serif are making my life hard... Surely a single page with all the downloads would have been a better way?
Staff Patrick Connor Posted November 27, 2017 Staff Share Posted November 27, 2017 Please type the address printed on the page into the top bar of your browser (rather than any search box in the middle of the screen) and you will not get a webpage but the file will download In Chrome it will appear at the bottom left of the screen as it downloads and in Internet Explorer pop up message at the bottom of the screen will ask if you wish to save the file and please click the save button.and the download will complete. for example type as you see it on page 85 into the address bar (NOT into google search) https://affin.co/photocoreskills (or https://affin.co/photocoreskillsde in the German book) The other links are not to be published here on on a single page as they contain content that is licensed for use with sales of the book. Also some are very large indeed so they are downloadable individually as you wish to follow that chapter. Ofindsen
I have tried all the suggestions for downloading resource files for Affinity Designer and Affinity Photo Workbooks and I can attest that none of the suggestions that are offered offered work. All effort to follow the instructions in the books also lead to the message "FILE NOT FOUND"

What kind of problems? Are you following the instructions @Patrick Connor mentioned above, adjusted for the page numbers in the Photo Workbook? Staff MEB Posted January 4, 2019 Staff Share Posted January 4, 2019 Hi Murry Malsbury, Welcome to Affinity Forums There is an explanation of how to get the resources at the start of the book, on page 9 on the right. Each chapter's files are provided on the beginning of each chapter only. You can easily locate the link looking for the two overlapping files/documents icon on a blue background. For example take a look at page 140 on top: that link contains all the files needed for that chapter. Enter the full URL as appear there on your browser's URL field to download the zip file, unzip it to a folder then use each file as referenced on each page for that chapter to follow along the tutorials (the purple file references on the top of each page inside that chapter). You can find the links to the resources files on pages: 86, 140, 156, 174, 188, 200, 226, 248, 266, 290, 314, 340, 366, 388, 406, 424, 448.
