Downloaded fonts in windows 10

Recommended Posts

Hi

I know its a problem that isn't an affinity issue, but i've just paid for  font from GarphicsRiver. Downloaded the font as  a zip file. Followed instructions from youtube on how to import it to my Fonts folder so that I can use it in Affinity designer, however everytime I try and copy it into folder it says font invalid

Any advice on how I can import to font folder and therefore use the font i paid for in Affinity ??

Thanks

Hi Peter

MikeW's solution will work for .ttf (TrueType) and .otf (OpenType) fonts, the two most common formats on Windows.

If you have ended up with a Type 1 font (an older format designed by Adobe for compatibility with PostScript printers, but not originally designed for Windows) you should have both a .pfb and a .pfm file with the same name for each font (you need both files). Right-click the .pfm file and select Install from the pop-up context menu, as per MikeW's instructions.

If you can't see the file extensions, see http://kb.winzip.com/kb/entry/26/
