Konspaul
Hey, When I want to change the background color of my document canvas I make a vector square sized of the background, choose a color and set it to be locked. I don't like that after this it is not possible to select other objects on that locked background by dragging selecting. It just selects the background. If I start my drag outside the canvas then I can select the object. Is there a way to completely put a locked object locked? So that it will not be selected. Thanks! Staff MEB Posted October 25, 2016 Staff Share Posted October 25, 2016 Hi Konspaul, If you place an object on the bottom of the layers hierarchy to use as a background and lock it, you are NOT able to select it on canvas. You can drag a selection around other objects over it without selecting the background. It's only possible to select a locked object via the Layers panel, not on canvas. If this isn't working correctly for you, can you please attach a sample file so we can see what's going on? Thanks. Konspaul
Sure thing but how do I attach something to this forum?
Staff MEB Posted October 25, 2016 Staff Share Posted October 25, 2016 Here's how to attach images/files to the forum. Some extensions may not be allowed. In those cases zip the files first before uploading them to work around the forum extension restrictions. Konspaul
Great, thanks! Here is the file. Try selecting those three red boxes while select-dragging over the locked background. error sample.afdesign
Staff MEB Posted October 26, 2016 Staff Share Posted October 26, 2016 Thanks for the file @Konspaul. You're right. This is not working as expected. This was reported and fixed before i believe but seems there's a regression. I'm reopening/logging this issue. Thanks for your support. [EDIT] Issue logged.
