Designer - Draw a straight forward line

I am looking for hours ti draw a straight forward line. In Illustrator I was used to have a line tool. The Pen tool does not really work like this and is unable to draw a straight forward line. Need urgent help

Welcome to the Forums :)

 

If you select the Pen Tool and hold shift ⇧ while you place your nodes it will keep the line straight :)

I had the same problem with the *Pen-tool*. But selecting it you can change his behavior by clicking the right icon on top and you will have a *Line-tool* :-) (see the included picture)

Holding down the Shift key will only keep the nodes aligned (horizontally, vertically or at 45 degrees). ;) As 'manroe' says, you need to switch to Line Mode if you want to be sure of getting straight lines between those nodes. :)
